Para los que se manejen con editores y creadores de PDF (como el paquete Acrobat) sabrán que además de ser un software muy caro, es también muy costoso de usar a la hora de crear documentos. Por otra parte, todos tenemos el famoso lector de documentos PDF Acrobar Reader, ya que, entre otras cosas es gratuito, y nos permite entonces leer todos los archivos en estos formatos.
Pero lo realmente interesante es poder crearlos, ya que es un formato muy útil y muy exportable para enviar documentos a amigos o llevarlos en nuestro Memory Stick, ya que nos aseguramos que prácticamente todos los ordenadores sin importar el sistema operativo van a poder leerlo e imprimirlo con total facilidad, y lo mejor del PDF es que no va a modificar su contenido, estructura, diagramación y formato estés donde estés (sistema operativo, lector, etc…)
De ahí que sea muy interesante conseguir una buena herramienta gratuita de PDF's… He aquí la solución: Express PDF.
Con esta utilidad podremos instalar este programa como si fuera una impresora más de nuestro equipo, de forma que cualquier página Web, cualquier documento Word, cualquier cosa que veamos en la pantalla con cualquier programa y que se pudiera imprimir a una impresora normal, lo podemos imprimir a un documento PDF.
Cuando le demos a "Archivo" -> "imprimir" en el programa donde estemos, nos dejará elegir entre la impresora que tengamos ya instalada en el ordenador y ésta utilidad. Al elegir ésta, nos dirá dónde y con qué nombre queremos guardar el archivo y ella se encarga de crearlo.
La forma, por tanto, más fácil, gratuita y rápida de crear PDF. Por cierto, que para leerlos después en lugar de Acrobat Reader, recomiento un programa más rápido, también gratuito y que ocupa mucho menos: el Foxit Reader.

Estaba leyendo y estaba pensando…pues ahora le voy a dejar un comentario para recomendar el Foxit Reader. Lo llevo usando desde hace bastante tiempo y es increible.
Abre archivos de más de 20 megas en ¿3 segundos? Un pasada. Muy recomendable.

Yo uso el PDFCreator, el mecanismo es el mismo, pero en algunos momentos es un pelin limitado. De todas formas para el uso que le doy es mas que suficiente.
